Adding Reservation Boxes and Availability Buttons First, login to the admin page of the hotel booking engine website. This is accessed by going to the booking engine page and adding"/admin" to the url, so that the full website address is "www.bookingenginepage.com/admin". This will prompt you to login.

Once you have logged in you will be at the admin dashboard. At the bottom there are snippets of code. You have the choice of adding a reservation box formatted for dark website pages or for normal website pages. Choose your snippet and press the copy button to copy the code to your clipboard. This is the code you will place in the hoteliers main website to display the reservation box. Be sure to allow proper space for the entire reservation box. You will also want to add the" Check Availability Button" to the hoteliers website. Be sure to put this in a very prominent place on the website to encourage users to click.

Customizing the Booking Page Header The booking engine page has content management in the header area so that hotels can customize their page by adding their hotel logo, information and links. The content management system is easy to use and does not require website editing software. The top part of the booking engine page displays the hotel contact information, which is set in the site settings of the admin area. This can be updated by going to the admin area and clicking on site settings in the top right hand corner and clicking submit after updating the information.

Note: The fax number is the number in which the hotel will receive reservation notices and should be a dedicated fax line. Deleting the fax number will cause the hotel to stop receiving fax notifications. This is also true for the email address.

To edit the booking engine page, you will need administrator rights to be able to login and make changes. The hotel can set you up by going to their admin area and selecting"Add User" on the security dashboard. They will need to enter in your email address, create a password, and select"admin" as the user rights. Upon clicking submit, you will be added as a new user and can login to the hotel booking engine by going to the direct website domain and adding"/admin" to the url in your address bar. This will take you to the login page.
