If your domain name is coming up for renewal Go Daddy will send a notice 90 days, 60 days and 30 days prior to the renewal date. If OpenHotel/Alternate Image has been managing and renewing your domain for you each year, you would not have received these notices, until now. Normally the notice gets sent to the administrative contact on the registrar, which is an Alternate Image corporate account (us). This new policy, now sends a copy to the owner to ensure you are being notified properly. You do not have to do anything. We will invoice you on the first day of the month of when your domain is to be renewed.
Another recent Go Daddy policy is notification anytime there is a contact change on the account. You will be notified of the change and requested to verify email. If the account says it is from Alternate Image (us), please verify the email by clicking the link within the email and approve. These requests may come from any audits we may do throughout the year on the accounts to ensure proper ownership has been recorded.
If you are unsure as to whether OpenHotel/Alternate Image manages your domain, please call the office or submit a support ticket before attempting to call Go Daddy, and we will clarify.
